Following on from the launch of Core at the end of 2019, the London-based label Berthold unveils Renew: A forward-thinking collaborative capsule of reworked garments from its archives.
Founder Raimund Berthold has been operating outside of the diktats of the fashion cycle for more than a year and has found it to be a regenerative process. He says: ‘Working in this way has given me so much more creative freedom and more chances for meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration. Time to think. The studio became a playful energetic space again.’
The capsule of 25 upcycled, recut and RESEWN garmentS are all one-of-a-kind and made in the London studio, guided by the principles of sustainable craftsmanship, modernity and reinvention.
Renew is a triumph FOR optimism in these uncertain times.
